We have new leaked information about the Intel Core i7-9750H, from the laptop processor series. A slide with performance figures and other details have emerged online about this future Core i7.
Intel Core i7-9750H is 28% faster than i7-8750H and 91% faster than i7-7700HQ
The Intel Core i7-9750H slide reveals that the processor will be 28% faster than its predecessor: the Core i7-8750H. It goes without saying that this is an impressive leap from generation to generation and from core to core. Not only will the architectural improvements result in IPC gains, but the processor is expected to be manufactured with a 'super-mature' 14nm node that will allow Intel to introduce higher clock speeds. The new Core i7-9750H should stand up to AMD's Ryzen 7 3750H, which also wants to storm the same high-end notebook segment. If these figures are correct, the AMD option will have it very difficult.
On the other hand, if we compare it to a Core i7-7700HQ, the new Core i7-9750H is almost twice as powerful, averaging 91%, according to the charts. This is an absolutely insane performance boost, given that it's the same consumer segment and roughly the same TDP.
