The government suspends the portability of fixed and mobile temporarily
Table of contents:
The state of emergency in Spain means that the government takes certain measures, something that happened in the BOE on March 17. In it, a series of measures have been announced, such as the temporary suspension of the portability of fixed and mobile. For at least 15 days, such portability will not be possible, unless they are exceptional cases.
The government suspends the portability of fixed and mobile temporarily
It is a measure that was already expected to be taken, but which has been made official through said BOE. In addition, it has other consequences for operators.
No portability
Another measure that affects operators is that they will not be able to carry out any advertising campaign that encourages users to contract their services or certain rates from those that they currently have in their catalog. So it will not be possible to go from one operator to another because there is an offer or some specific services are given. At least in this time.
Said suspension of mobile and fixed portability may have certain exceptions, although they are isolated cases. In addition, it is commented that during this time, operators are obliged to provide these services, they can not stop giving them under any circumstances, also in case of non-payment.
A measure that in principle would last until the end of March, although many see it almost certainly will be expanded, so that until sometime in April this portability between mobile and fixed in Spain will be suspended.
