At MWC 2019 the Huawei Mate X was officially presented. The first folding phone of the Chinese brand, which was expected to be launched this June. But weeks ago it was unknown if this launch was finally going to take place or not. Finally there is more news and as previously feared, the launch of the phone has been delayed.

There are several reasons, two in particular, why the Chinese brand delays the launch of this phone. In this case it is estimated that it would arrive in September.

Launch postponed

On the one hand, the problems that Samsung has had with the Galaxy Fold, with its screen in particular, is something that the Chinese brand does not want to happen with your phone. Therefore, they want to avoid flaws with the Huawei Mate X and the launch is delayed. So there is time for more tests, to give assurances that nothing will happen with the phone.

In addition, we cannot forget the blockade that the Chinese brand suffers from the United States. Something that would affect the sale, but also the production of the phone (operating system or components). Another compelling reason in this case.

It is a clear problem for the brand. Although they do not want the launch of the Huawei Mate X to ruin its reputation, it is currently clearly damaged by these problems. So it is better to wait and thus launch a phone that they know will get a positive response in the market.
