The iPhone SE 2 could be released during the first half of 2018

According to information published by China's Economic Daily News, Apple plans to launch a second-generation iPhone SE during the first half of next 2018.

This report indicates that this new device will receive the name of iPhone SE 2 and will be assembled exclusively by the Taiwanese manufacturer Wistron at its factory in Bangalore, India, where the assembly of the current iPhone SE is currently carried out.

And regarding its arrival on the market, Economic Daily News coincides with a previous report published by Focus Taiwan in which it was stated that a new iPhone SE will be launched during the first quarter of 2018, that is, between January and March of next year.

The current iPhone SE was unveiled by Apple at a special event on March 21, 2016, and the device hit store shelves somewhat later that month. Given this precedent and current rumors, the iPhone SE 2 may also see the light of day sometime in March.

The Indian website Tekz24 previously reported that the next generation iPhone SE will feature Apple's A10 Fusion chip accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 32GB or 128GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel main camera, a five-megapixel front camera. and a slightly larger 1, 700 mAh battery although, since this website is not well known as far as rumors about the brand are concerned, we should be careful with these supposed specifications.

Since its launch, Apple has updated the iPhone SE only to double its available storage capacities to 64GB and 128GB last March. In addition, it also lowered its price a few months ago from € 419 today.
