Forbes has managed to find a comparative benchmark for Cinebench R15 with Ryzen's third-generation 16-core processor, supposedly running at 4.2 GHz, achieving a staggering 4278 score in the multi-threaded test. This is enough to beat AMD's 24-core Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX with the clocks in stock, which is a foolish feat for an AM4 CPU with 8 fewer cores.

If this information is correct, AMD's 16-core Ryzen processors would offer a performance advantage of around 1, 000 points over the 16-core Threadripper 2950X, representing a performance increase of close to 30%. What we don't know is whether the 16-core processor seen here has been overclocked to achieve these speeds.
