G.skill announces the trident kit

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X has been released, and it offers PC gamers superior levels of multi-threaded performance, but with this multi-threaded performance comes the need for additional RAM. G.Skill arrives to heed these claims, with a new 256GB memory kit.

G.Skill Announces 256GB Trident-Z Neo Kit for Threadripper 3990X

G.Skill has become one of the world's leading memory manufacturers; And to celebrate the launch of AMD's Ryzen Threadripper 3990X processor, they have put together a 256GB memory kit that offers high speeds, low latencies, and support for the aforementioned validated Threadripper 3990X.

This 256GB memory kit uses eight 32GB DIMMs operating at 3600MHz with CL16-20-20 timings, which is a good mix considering the size and number of DIMMs that G.Skill has used. G.Skill has tested these new memory DIMMs using the ASUS ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha motherboard, the screenshot of which is available below.

These memories need 1.35V to function properly. G.Skill tested the kit with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X processor on an Asus ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha motherboard, which is one of the best on the market.

Unfortunately, these DIMMs won't hit the market until the second quarter of 2020, which means it will take time for these high-capacity, low-latency DIMMs to hit the market. We will keep you informed.
