Technical characteristics G.Skill Ripjaws KM780
G.Skill Ripjaws KM780
As expected on all G.Skill Ripjaws products they make a top notch presentation, with a sturdy rectangular cardboard box. On the cover we find a black background and brushstrokes of its corporate color: red.
Although the look goes to the image of the keyboard. In the rear area we have the most important detailed features. Once we open the package we find:
- G.Skill Ripjaws KM780 keyboard, Instruction manual, Quick guide, Sticker.
The G.Skill Ripjaws KM780 presents normal measurements as it is a standard keyboard , it has 518 x 172 x 48 mm and a weight of 1.36 kilograms. G.Skill is characterized by offering an attractive and quality design. Its entire structure is made of plastic and metallic.
As you can see, it has a Spanish QWERTY distribution and the “Ñ”. The keyboard is distributed in an alpha-numeric area, a full numeric keyboard, function keys in the upper left area and macro keys on the left side.
Detail of the built-in wrist rest.
As we have already mentioned in the left area we have up to six macro keys that are customizable from the native keyboard application. In this detail we will stop in the next section.
This version is designed to offer the best experience and durability. For this it has the switches made by Cherry, specifically the MX-BROWN. As many of you know, these switches are ideal for typing and although they are not better than the MX-Red to play… they are the best that we cannot find on mechanical keyboards. Another of its pluses is its long longevity with millions of keystrokes.
What's more, if we look from one of the sides, we see a small curve between the switches. What is this for? Oddly enough… it allows us better ergonomics and a better experience. Excellent G.Skill Ripjaws KM780!
As expected, it incorporates a 1000 Hz ultrapolling. It also has Full N-Key Rollover (NKRO) technology and keys reinforced with Anti-Ghosting protection that transmit an ideal experience to the end user.
Already in the previous area we have a small HUB with a USB 2.0 connection and an audio input / output to connect a headset. An ideal combination for the most Siberian players.
In the rear area we have two tabs that offer two positions and several non-slip strips. Our tests on wood, iron, marble and glass have been very satisfactory.
We also have a small box where we find two sets of keys and a key extractor. The design is incredible…
Finally, highlight the 2 meter twisted and shielded fiber cable. It is interesting the passable that G.Skill has incorporated to catch this cable and that of the mouse… a practical way of organizing our table.
illumination
We have removed a key for you to see the switch and in which it is clearly seen that it is the mx-brown version of Cherry. As we have mentioned, it incorporates RGB technology that offers up to 16.8 million customizable colors (RGB). A picture is worth a thousand words:
WE RECOMMEND Ducky Blade Air, mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Low Profile RGBsoftware
We should go to the official website of the G.Skill Ripjaws KM780 to download your software. Its installation is as simple as any in Windows (All next), it does not have any difficulty.
Experience and conclusion
It seems incredible that the first G.Skill keyboard becomes the definitive keyboard. The G.Skill Ripjaws KM780 incorporates everything you need for a gamer keyboard: LED lighting with 16.8 million colors (RGB), mechanical keys (MX-Brown), anti-Ghosting, N-Key Rollover, profiling, macro keys, USB hub and a specially designed WSAD key set.
In our tests we have achieved performance, fast ergonomics and an unmatched experience. We also liked its manageable software, which allows us to perform almost any macro combination with a single keyboard. Without a doubt, a 100% recommended keyboard.
In short, if you are looking for a mechanical keyboard, backlit, with good buttons, flawless software and high durability between 130 to 140 euros, the G.Skill Ripjaws KM780 is the perfect candidate.
