We have been without movement of new models of RAM for quite some time, but G.Skill wants to liven up this summer with its new G.Skill Trident Z Neo kit. It is a classic version of the Trident Z but with a double metallic cover, all with "powder" style coating and a great RGB system.

What novelties does this kit bring us? Will it be worth buying one? Do not miss our analysis!

We appreciate the confidence of G.Skill for the transfer of the product for its analysis:

Unboxing and design

G.Skill always opts for a presentation with the best finishes and the best design. The outer packaging is made of cardboard and plastic. What assures us that the RAM memories will come to us in perfect condition to our hands.

Although on the cover it does not give us any technical information… we can see in a small window, the chosen color of our RAM memories and that it is compatible with AMD Ryzen. Hallelujah! A manufacturer that gets wet!

On the back they explain that it is compatible with the new AMD Ryzen 3000 processors and its X570 chipset. In addition to the new improvements in the PCB, it has an unlimited guarantee and in its sticker the frequency and latency that works the memories.

Its serial speeds for the Intel and AMD platform is 3, 600 Mhz and they have quite high assured latencies CL16: (16-19-19-39) and a voltage of 1.35v. Currently we can buy this model from 2666 MHz to 3800 MHz with a minimum latency of CL14. We have not touched the good kit:(.

Its dimensions are 38.24 mm x 132.9 mm wide and about 7 mm thick. And we can buy kits with a size of 16 GB up to 64 GB maximum.

Keep in mind that these memories have a high profile and although G.Skill confirms that it is compatible with the AMD Wraith heatsink that incorporates the AMD Ryzen 3900X and AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, it never hurts to measure and verify if It is compatible with our heatsink.

The heatsink is constructed in a dual-tone design with brushed aluminum in black and silver. This chrome area has a powder effect that gives it a very premium touch, and that personally seems to me a total success.

It has an aluminum structure that will help dissipate all the heat that memories offer at these temperatures. It seems to us a very sporty design but at the same time elegant and clean. Although some users would have preferred to have more color scheme, we are sorry to point out that it is only in black / silver. Color will come alive with its RGB zone.

As expected it is Intel XMP 2.0 certified and now AMD AMP. That makes them compatible at maximum frequencies on platforms on both AMD and Intel platforms. Bravo G.Skill!

G.Skill has chosen to choose its chips by hand and check each module for maximum resistance tests. They have not left anything in the inkwell and have chosen a 10-layer PCB customized by themselves and thus achieve very good speeds and latencies. The RGB system offers a led strip that covers the entire upper memory area and the effect it offers, which we already see in the previous images, is great. How well it combines with our test bench!

Final words and conclusion about G.Skill Trident Z Neo

G.Skill launches a new top of the range memory kit on the market. We find it a success both in terms of design, performance and component quality of the Trident Z Neo. Without a doubt, one of the best options we can buy for our Intel or AMD platform.

In our tests we have been able to check its operation at stock, 3200 MHz and 3600 MHz, obtaining in all of them a great result. Having fast memories and low latencies can help you gain some FPS while playing

We recommend reading the best RAM memory on the market

To highlight its 10-layer system with hand-picked memory chip, absolute compatibility with AMD Ryzen 3000 processors and X570 motherboards, RGB system that is not intrusive and that looks great on any system.

We can find from the most basic kit from 135 euros to 689 euros. Everything will depend on the capacity, speed and latency that we want to acquire. Without a doubt, a 100% recommended purchase.
