All attention seems to be on its older siblings, but the RTX 2070 promises to surprise with its price and performance, which appear to have been leaked.

GeForce RTX 2070 would be 8% faster than GTX 1080

Unlike the GeForce RTX 2080, which features 23 SM Turing with a total of 2944 CUDA Cores, the RTX 2070 will have 18 SM Turing for a total of 2304 CUDA Cores. A very interesting fact that has also come to light is that the RTX 2070 will have 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, instead of the 7 GB that it was supposed to have. The card will likely feature a 256-bit GDDR6 memory interface for a total of 448 GB / s of bandwidth, assuming 14 Gbps or 384 GB / s of bandwidth GDDR6 memory is used if the green company opts for a 12 gbps GDDR6 slightly slower.

The card is said to 'slightly' outperform NVIDIA's current GeForce GTX 1080 by 8%. If those 18 SM Turing were running at the same clock speeds as NVIDIA's RTX Quadro series, which is about 1.7GHz, it would generate about 8 TFLOPS of performance. That is more or less what the GTX 1080 is capable of.

However, the Turing GPU is said to hit 2GHz clock speeds with a bit of overclocking, so the RTX 2070 could end up outperforming the GTX 1080 Ti once it is overclocked, all for about $ 400 or so.
