Gigabyte is still betting on smaller computers and has introduced a new model of BRIX IoT with passive cooling and an advanced Intel Core i3-7100U processor that achieves an extraordinary balance between performance and energy efficiency.

New Gigabyte BRIX IoT with great possibilities of use

Gigabyte's new BRIX IoT is built to dimensions of 180mm x 117mm x 36mm which make it somewhat larger than the previous GB-EKi3A-7100 version based on a much more modest Pentium processor from the Apollo Lake family. This new kit includes two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots along with an M.2-2280 slot with a bandwidth of 32 GB / s so you can install a next-generation SSD hard drive based on the NVMe protocol.

Gigabyte has also thought about connectivity, so its new BRIX IoT includes WiFi 802.11ac technology along with Bluetooth 4.0 so you can use a large number of peripherals without problems. We also highlight the presence of a Gigabit Ethernet port, a RS232 COM port, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 3.1 ports, one of which is type C and video outputs in the form of HDMI 2.0 and mini-DisplayPort 1.2.

As we can see it is a very small computer but with excellent possibilities of use thanks to the inclusion of quite powerful hardware that will allow us to do all the day-to-day tasks with very low power consumption and completely silent operation.
