Marvell has introduced its NVMe 88NR2241 smart switch, to manage resources between multiple NVMe controllers and workload offload accelerators. The company claims that this switch improves enterprise data center environments by offering high-quality services and predictable storage performance by using integrated virtual functions.

The new Marvell 88SS1098 and 88SS1088 SSD controllers support single and dual port functionality, the NVMe 1.3 standard, and open channel architectures. Both are powered by the fourth generation of Marvell's NANDEdge LDPC error correction technology , which extends the durability of TLC and QLC memory-based devices. As for performance, they can reach up to 3.6 GB / s and up to 800K IOPS read.
