The Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming graphics card it incorporates the most powerful PASCAL chip GP104-200 manufactured with a 16nm FinFET process and 7.2 billion transistors. It also has 1920 CUDA cores.

It is complemented by a total of 120 texturing units (TMUs) and 64 crawling units (ROPs). As standard the card allows us to choose between the following three modalities:

• OC Mode / “OC Mode”: 1822 MHz / 1620 MHz Game Mode / “Gaming Mode”: 1784 MHz / 1594 MHz

All of them working with the new GPU Boost 3.0 technology for top-notch performance. It comes supported with a total of 8GB GDDR5.

The Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming incorporates the new and renovated Windforce 3X heatsink with two copper heatpipes and divided into a double structure. Among its benefits we find a totally passive cooling system that is only activated when you are working on 3D applications (Design, games…), which is why lovers of silence will fall in love with them.

All tests have been passed with the filters to the maximum unless we indicate otherwise. In order to have adequate performance, we have carried out three types of tests: the first is the most common at Full HD 1920 x 1080, the second resolution is making the leap to 2K or 1440P (2560 x 1440P) gamers and the most enthusiastic with 4K (3840 x 2160). The operating system we have used has been Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and the latest drivers available from the Nvidia website.

We have really reached 2068 to 2080 MHz with boost, which, as you know, drops a bit like in all GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. Consumption is not very high, making its scarcely 15 W more at maximum performance.

Temperature and consumption

The consumption lives up to the expectations set with 65 W at rest and 245 W at full capacity. All this playing with an Intel Core i7-6700k processor and air dissipation. It's great!

Important: The consumption is of the complete equipment.

The temperatures of the Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming are really good, we have obtained 48ºC since the fans are in passive mode until some game is activated and the temperature rises to 60ºC they are not activated. While playing we do not exceed 64 ºC in any case. As the overclocking has been so mild, temperatures barely rise (66ºC).
