The famous assembler and manufacturer of motherboards, Gigabyte, has just announced the new GTX 960 Xtreme Gaming, a "past revolution" version of this Nvidia graphics card that is delivering such good results within the mid-range of 3D accelerators.

As it is already a Gigabyte classic, the quality of the materials are indisputable and in the case of the GTX 960 Xtreme Gaming it will not be the exception, using a much improved dissipation compared to the reference model, better components and a VRM of high quality that make this graphics card much more stable in prolonged "stress" uses, such as long video game sessions.

Gigabyte GTX 960 Xtreme Gaming with 4GB of memory

This new Gigabyte solution maintains the 1024 shaders, 64 texture units, 32 ROPs and the 128-bit memory bus of the reference model, but the amount of DDR5 memory is increased to 4GB and the GPU frequencies are also increased to 1304 MHz and 1367Mhz in turbo mode. This increase in the frequencies of the GTX 960 Xtreme Gaming is quite significant considering that the standard model comes with 1127 MHz and 1, 178 Mhz in turbo mode, this represents a significant performance improvement.

It is because of this increase in frequencies that the dissipation has been improved to better control temperatures and better VRM so that the graphics card does not have stability problems. Keep in mind that the GTX 960 Xxtreme Gaming uses 2 connectors, one 6-pin and one 8-pin, the standard model only uses one 6-pin.

The price has not yet been revealed but it is believed that it would be around 250 euros. Is a factory overclocked GTX960 worth that price? Tell us what you think.
