We continue our collaboration with the Spanish manufacturer Hiditec , this time they have sent us their new Hiditec NG-RX RGB chassis, a model that is up to date and that offers sensational benefits for a fairly contained price for what we usually see on the market. It is a chassis with a lot of RGB LED lighting and a lot of tempered glass, the fundamental ingredients today.

Unboxing and design

The Hiditec NG-RX RGB chassis has arrived in a large, neutral colored cardboard box, as we are talking about an ATX chassis, so its size is considerable. In the box we find a drawing of the chassis, the logo of the brand and some of its most outstanding characteristics.

Once we open the box, we find the chassis perfectly protected by a plastic bag and two pieces of cork to prevent it from moving during transport. Next to it we find all the accessories necessary for the assembly of the equipment, as well as a quick guide.

Hiditec NG-RX RGB is a chassis designed to offer the best to its users. It is manufactured with the best quality SECC steel, which has a thickness of 8 mm, this means that it is a very robust and solid chassis, designed to last for many years.

The manufacturer has also used tempered glass with a thickness of 4 mm, which allows it to offer a spectacular aesthetic. We found two glass panels, one on the main side and the other on the front. The chassis reaches measurements of 436 x 202.5 x 435 mm and a weight of 9.2 Kg.

At the top we can mount two additional 120mm fans or a 240mm radiator, these are not included. Hiditec has placed a magnetic anti-dust filter to prevent the entry of dirt, which we can easily remove for cleaning.

In this part we also appreciate the I / O panel, with the power button, a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports and the 3.5 m connectors for audio and micro.

The main side is formed by a large tempered glass window, something that will allow us to perfectly see the interior of the equipment and enjoy the lighting of all the components. This panel is easily removed, thanks to four thumb screws.

At the rear we find the typical configuration on an ATX chassis. Hiditec NG-RX RGB offers us seven expansion slots, the power supply area at the bottom, and a 120mm fan included, also with RGB lighting, which will take care of getting hot air out of the chassis.

At the bottom we see four rubber feet, which help to achieve perfect support on the table and prevent vibrations. We also see the filter for the power supply, magnetic and easy to remove for easy cleaning.

Mounting and assembly

We open the Hiditec NG-RX RGB and observe a complete fairing for the power supply, this allows us not to be affected by the rest of the components, which translates into less heating. This fairing also offers capacity for two 3.5 or 2.5 inch hard drives.

The installation area of the motherboard allows us to mount an ATX or Micro ATX unit, the chassis offers us enough space to install graphics of great length up to 350mm and CPU heatsinks with a maximum height of 173 mm, which guarantees full compatibility with all the models on the market so that you do not have problems when assembling a very high performance equipment.

We have a total of 7 expansion slots. The only downside that we see is that we must remove it previously… The most logical thing would be to include these reusable slots and not for single use.

The chassis has the necessary space for cable management, so an orderly assembly can be carried out so that it has no influence on air circulation. The cable routing areas are finished in rubber to prevent damage. Behind the area of the motherboard we can mount two additional 2.5-inch drives, perfect to put a pair of SSDs and enjoy maximum speed.

Behind the front are the three 120mm fans, these have RGB LED lighting and allow generating a large flow of inlet air directly into the interior to cool all the components.

To manage the fans we have a control knob, which allows us to change the lighting without the need to install software on the system, perfect for avoiding unnecessary resource consumption.

These fans take the air through some gills that we find on the edges of the front. Just above the upper fan we see the Hiditec logo in white. We can replace these fans with a 360 mm radiator.

Final words and conclusion about Hiditec NG-RX RGB

Hiditec has been doing things very well for a while and with the Hiditec NG-RX RGB chassis it shows that they have been fully successful. It is an ATX format box, a spectacular design with a tempered glass window and front, an excellent cooling system with RGB lighting and the ability to house high-end hardware.

During the assembly we did not have much problem. In a matter of 30 to 45 minutes we had all the equipment working and installing the operating system. The temperatures are quite good and they are up to the circumstances. A highly recommended purchase!

Few problems we can get out of the chassis, perhaps some reusable PCI slots or the incorporation of a button on the I / O panel to change the lighting of the PC instead of using the remote control.
