Highspoint presents its ssd7101 ultra units

HighPoint has just launched its new storage solutions for the business sector, the SSD7101, which uses the PCIe x16 connection for ultra-fast data transmission. Theoretically, these storage units allow 20GB / s file transfer.

SSD7101 are special SSD drives for the business sector

There will be two models that will reach the market of the SSD7101, the SSD7101A and the SSD7101B, we will see what each one offers.

SSD7101A

This model will come in 4 capacities, 500GB, 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. The sequential transfer rate is 13, 000 MB / s in data reading and about 7, 500 MB / s in the writing process.

SSD7101B

This model will also come in 4 variants, but increases capabilities. It will come in 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and a last one with 8TB of storage space. The sequential data reading speed this model can achieve is 13, 500 MB / s and the writing speed reaches 8, 000 MB / s. SSD resistance increases by 33% on this model.

A peculiarity of these HighPoints PCIe SSD drives is that we can cut the capacity in half in order to double the resistance if we run the drives in RAID 1.

Yes, SSD drives generate heat, and to prevent it from building up on the card, the SSD7101 uses aluminum heatsinks on each memory internally and the controller chip. At the moment, HighPoints has not wanted to reveal the price at which the SSD7101 will be released, but we already anticipate that it will not be cheap at all.
