HyperX has launched in the last hours the new high-speed DDR4 kits from its Predator line, which reach 4600MHz.

HyperX Predator adds new memory kits to the catalog

HyperX releases two new 2x 8GB DDR4-4266MHz and 4600MHz kits. According to HyperX, the new kits are designed to "offer DDR4 Predator to the next generation of PC enthusiasts who want the best performance for their systems."

As for the times and voltage of the new DIMMs, both sets will use CL19 latency with the 4266MHz DIMMs (HX442X19PB3K2 / 16) at 1.4V and the 4600MHz flagship kit (HX446C19PB3K2 / 16) using 1.5V. The amount of voltage used is higher than what many are used to, but it is still within the tolerances of the platform / processors.

The memory modules follow the Predator scheme with a black heatsink, as does the PCB, along with the HyperX name engraved in the center of the heatsink in white. This particular model does not have RGB LEDs.

All HyperX modules are said to go through a "rigorous" testing procedure for XMP certification. You just have to make sure that the motherboard and the CPU's IMC (integrated memory controller) are capable of handling the high speeds. Although HyperX said the new RAM kits are compatible with AMD CPUs, users will have a hard time finding any current Ryzen CPUs on the market that can support these speeds.

New Predator kits up to 4600MHz are currently available through HyperX's network of retail and retail stores, although prices were not provided, we can expect a premium on these sticks, with each kit costing around 250 dollars approximately.
