More details have begun to leak for Intel's 10th generation Comet Lake-S desktop CPU family. This time we have data on two processors that belong to this family, the Core i5-10600 and the Core i3-10300.

Intel Core i5-10600, Core i5-10400 and i3-10300 are listed online

The Core i5-10600 is a 6-core, 12-wire processor, with a base clock of 3.3 GHz and a boost clock that is likely to be 4.5 GHz (single core). It's a little bit faster than the Core i5-10500, which is also a 6-core, 12-wire chip, but it has a 3.2 GHz base clock and a 4.3 GHz boost boost (single core). It is suggested that both chips have a 65W TDP with the Core i5-10600K obtaining an unlocked design that is more likely to have a 95W TDP.

Mention is also made of a HKEPC processor, the Core i5-10400, which is an entry-level 6-core, 12-wire CPU. The chip is said to have a 3.5 GHz base clock and a 4.1 GHz boost frequency. Again, this is a nice boost based on 2.90 GHz and the 4.1 boost GHz of the previously released Core i5-9400, which had 6 cores and 6 threads with the same clock speeds.

Finally, we have the part that we named at the beginning, the Core i3-10300. This is a 4 core 8 core CPU with a 3.7 GHz base clock and a 4.2 GHz boost clock. Now compared to the Core i3-9300, the Core i3-10300 actually has the same base clock, but with a boost lower than -100 MHz. However, the i3-10300 has four additional threads that the Core i3-9300 does not and that could explain the lower 100 MHz frequency. It is also possible that these are engineered sampling rates. and that real clocks end up being taller. This chip was detected on the Alienware Aurora 11 Gaming PC, proving that the original equipment manufacturers already have the chips in their hands.

A Core i9-10900 (which had been previously revealed) with 10 cores and 20 threads has also been detected. This is still a very early engineering sample with 2.50 GHz base clocks at most. The interesting thing about this leak is not the chip itself, but the board on which it was tested. The motherboard is the Z490-A PRO which is an upcoming motherboard based on the Intel Z490 chipset. We will keep you informed.
