Intel core i5-7600k vs i5
Table of contents:
The first results of the engineering samples of the i5-7600k are filtered, and with this we bring you a duel: i5-7600K vs i5-6600K where we anticipate that it brings an improvement of up to 10%. If it really is fulfilled, it is a surprise for the Kaby Lake platform, since we did not expect so much improvement in such a small jump in architecture .
Intel Core i5-7600K vs i5-6600K, with a palpable improvement
We found it quite rare to find the first leaked tests so early (with a couple of months to launch) so the results may change slightly , although we highly doubt it.
The i5-7600k manufactured with a 14nm Plus processor that offers higher performance and energy efficiency than the current Skylake. It runs at a speed of 3.8 GHz that boosts up to 4.2 GHz, 6 MB of L3 cache, 4 cores ( without HyperThreading ), open clock to overclock and has a TDP of 91W. A price of $ 250 is estimated, so we will see it in store with a rise of 265 to 270 euros.
All tests have been done with the ASRock Z170 OC Formula motherboard (Yes, the Z170 boards will be compatible, don't worry, but new ones will be released), 8GB DDR4 KFA2 HOF at 2133 MHz and a reference Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card.
The tests (almost all benchmarks) dictate that the end result is 6.14% faster in performance on a single thread and on multi-threaded tasks up to 9.12% faster than the i5-6600k. While in games we win up to 4% faster, so if you want to renew we believe that you should wait for the next generation jump.
We also find a table regarding the performance with the i7-6700k evidently we find that in single-thread processes it takes the advantage of 2.79% while in multi-task it drops to 18.73%.
Finally, we leave you the supposed specifications of the Intel Kaby Lake processors with the following table:
