Intel core i7
Intel has traditionally been selling its most powerful home processor for an approximate price of 1, 000 euros, a very high figure but that could be small given the arrival of the new Broadwell-E chips and the Core i7-6950X.
The Intel Broadwell-E family will have two six-core entry models, the Core i7-6800K and the Core i7-6850K, which would arrive at respective prices of $ 400 and $ 600. Next will be the Core i7-6900K with eight cores and a price of $ 999 and finally the Core i7-6950X consisting of ten cores and with a price that would not drop below $ 1, 500.
The last time an Intel home processor topped $ 999 at launch was the Core 2 Extreme QX9775, which did so for $ 1, 300, all indications are that Intel wants to set a new record.
A situation that undoubtedly contributes to the fact that currently AMD has nothing to do with Intel in high-end processors, we hope that with the arrival of Zen the situation will change.
