Surprising prices of madness of the new Intel Core i9-7980XE with a base price of 1999 euros. More technical details of the Intel Core i9 Skylake-X and Kabylake-X
Intel opts for its Skylake-X and Kabylake-X architectures with the launch of a total of seven processors with more than 6 cores. The specifications known at the moment are those of the Intel Core i9-7920X, Intel Core i9-7820X and the Intel Core i9-7800X.
Only the first two are compatible with Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0, what is this technology? This is an improved overclock for each of the processor cores, to increase performance in single and two-wire applications.
As we can see in the slide we have several improvements: Support for the LGA 2066 socket, 44 PCI Express lanes (depends on the processor), 4 DDR4 channels with 2666 MHz base frequency, compatibility with Intel Optane and support of the AVX-512 instruction.
