Intel is preparing new ninth-generation Core processors with just 35W, ideal for low-power or compact-design desktops. The new Coffee Lake “T” processors are scheduled for launch on May 15 and will arrive in 7 Core models and 3 Pentium models.

35W Intel Core Coffee Lake "T" CPUs to be released on May 15

According to the list, there will be multiple processors with a 35W TDP based on ninth-generation Core chips, although there are also Pentium models.

CPU CORES / THREADS Base Clock Boost Clock TDP
Intel Core i9-9900T 8/16 2.1 GHz TBD 35W
Intel Core i7-9700T 8/8 2.0 GHz TBD 35W
Intel Core i5-9600T 6/6 2.3 GHz TBD 35W
Intel Core i5-9400T 6/6 1.8 GHz TBD 35W
Intel Core i3-9300T 4/4 3.2 GHz TBD 35W
Intel Core i3-9100T 4/4 3.1 GHz TBD 35W
Intel Pentium G5600T 2/4 3.3 GHz N / A 35W
Intel Pentium G5420T 2/4 3.2 GHz N / A 35W
Intel Pentium G4930T 2/2 3.0 GHz N / A 35W

All the processors are part of the Coffee Lake architecture with 14nm ++ node and will have the suffix "T", which refers to a lower TDP than its older brothers. It is clear that these processors are focused on low consumption or compact design equipment that prioritize low consumption and heat generation.

The top model in the line would be the Core i9-9900T, which is an 8-core, 16-thread piece with 16MB of L3 cache. The chip will operate at a base frequency of 2.1 GHz and will be able to reach only 3 GHz with the 'Turbo' frequency.

Pentium models are also very interesting as they are dual core designs with HT (Hyperthreading) enabled, except for the G4930T which does not have Hyperthreading.
