Intel has been through the Open Compute project Summit event to unveil its new Optane SSD DC P4801X storage devices, which come with an M.2 form factor and a capacity of up to 375 GB.
Optane SSD DC P4801X is Intel's next step with 3D Xpoint
Optane SSD DC P4801X is presented in an M.2 form factor, to offer a storage solution with a very high density, its capacity reaches 375 GB. For its construction, high capacity 3D Xpoint memory chips have been used, and they have been accompanied by an advanced seven-channel controller, which promises to achieve very high speeds. A total of seven 3D Xpoint memory packages have been used , with four dies each.

For now there has been no reference to the sale price that this Optane SSD DC P4801X storage unit will have, although we do not expect it to be cheap, considering the high manufacturing costs of 3D Xpoint memory.
