Intel and nvidia continue to dominate on steam, but amd gains ground

Steam has revealed its February 2018 hardware statistics. It seems that AMD has managed to gain some ground within the Steam gaming community, however NVIDIA and Intel still dominate the PC market, both CPU and card. graphics.
AMD manages to increase its share, but is still very far from NVDIA and Intel
As you can see from the chart, AMD's GPU market share has increased slightly from 8.2% to 8.9%. NVIDIA remains the dominant GPU company, as 85.3% of respondents use their graphics cards.
AMD has also managed to slightly increase its market share in CPU, going from 8.1% to 9.1%. From the looks of it, the early Ryzen CPUs didn't make much of a difference, at least among gamers. However, AMD will launch the second generation of Ryzen CPUs in the coming months, so there is a possibility that things will get even better for AMD.
Windows 7 64 bit is still the most popular operating system, however it saw a decrease of 3.06% no less. NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1060 GPU is now the most popular GPU on Steam, followed by the GTX 750 Ti, GTX 960, and GTX 1050 Ti. Quad-core CPUs are the dominant ones in this segment, however, they saw a 1.95% decrease.
No wonder the NVIDIA GTX 1060 is the most popular card, as it is unbeatable within the mid-range for price / performance.
