The second test version of iOS 12.2. It includes a pleasant surprise for those users who are fond of using this feature that arrived last 2018 with the launch of iOS 11 and iPhone X. These are new Animoji characters with which you can make your FaceTime calls more fun.
Four new Animoji
If you are a fan of Animoji, the latest beta version of iOS has incorporated a good surprise for you: four additional animated characters. The second beta version of iOS 12.2, available to developers, comes with four new Animoji for you to choose from. It is a giraffe, a shark, an owl, and a boar that add to a growing list of characters.
Apple's Animoji works with all FaceID-enabled iOS devices, ranging from iPhone X released in late 2017 to current iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, but is also compatible with newer iPad models 11.9 and 12.9 inch pro.
These latest additions will add to an ever-evolving list of new Animoji characters, which already included around twenty animated characters, not including the customizable Memoji that were added as part of iOS 12.
Here are some images obtained by 9to5Mac:
As in the previous Animoji, the four new characters come with their own characteristics that adapt to the facial expressions of the users. For example, if we raise an eyebrow, the giraffe or the boar will also raise an eyebrow, while if we show a smile, the shark will also reveal a threatening denture.
