When we are configuring an Enthusiast PC we want the best of the best to get the most out of our equipment, memory is one of the main components when choosing our equipment, for this reason the new KFA2 HOF DDR4 models come to Spain with breakneck speeds and a design that skims the outstanding.

Unboxing and design

KFA2 use the pearl white color so characteristic of this Hall Of Fame series. The product is presented in a small box that opens in the form of a book. In it we can see both the memories and a little of the history and how the sketch of the memories began to be created.

Once we open the box we find the two KFA2 HOF DDR4 modules in their 3600 MHz version. We liked the detail that incorporates a small protective plastic on the pins of the memories.

The pack consists of two DDR4 modules of 8GB each, making a total of 16GB. Both with a base speed of 3600 MHz and a latency CL17 (17-18-18-38) with a fixed voltage of 1.35V, although if we leave it by default it stays at 2133 MHz and a voltage of 1.20v.

As expected, the modules are 100% compatible with the new XMP 2.0 profile that integrates the new Z170 platforms and the refresh of the X99. It is one of the best ranges of RAM memory that we have analyzed to date. Although we miss the same RGB LED lights to give a more premium presence.

The design is truly spectacular and exceeds the expectations I had for them. To be the first memories they release they are at a great level.

Of course, it is important to know that they are high-profile memories, and therefore we can have problems with double tower heatsinks… but with good liquid cooling, the design will be spectacular. As an interesting note is that it incorporates a height of 50 mm.

Another point to keep in mind that the memory chips have been chosen by hand and a total of 10 PCB layers have been incorporated to offer the greatest overclocking and stability. This allows us to have a better bandwidth and a response time much higher than other memories.

We have used a top of the range Z170 motherboard and an i7-6700k processor that we have been using for many months in our test bench. All results have been passed with the 3600 MHz profile and the applied voltage of 1.35V in Dual Channel. Let's go see them!

In our case we have tried activating the memories via the XMP profile and we have not had any stability problem. During sections of 4K games we have seen an improvement from 2 to 3 FPS with respect to the base frequencies, so we are facing a significant better exceeding the 3200 MHz that we see in all stores.

According to what the reports have told us, they will arrive in Spain soon, what they have confirmed to us is the price but we will edit it when we know it. If they come out at a good price, it is surely one of the most interesting choices in Gaming settings and the enthusiastic line. Of course a 100% recommended purchase.
