The amd tonga xt gpu could arrive with the radeon r9 300 series
After the rumor that AMD has canceled the Radeon R9 285X based on the Tonga XT GPU, another rumor arrives that says that this GPU would reach the market, although possibly under the Radeon R9 300 series.
The Tonga XT GPU would have a total of 32 Compute Units, as has been rumored for quite some time, which would add a total of 2048 Stream Processors accompanied by 128 texturing units (TMUs) and 32 or 48 raster units (ROPs)). It would have a 384-bit memory bus which would come with 3/6 GB of GDDR5 VRAM.
In addition, the Tonga XT GPU would have more advanced HSA features than the Kaveri APU, which would make it compatible with technologies such as GPU Compute Context Switch and GPU Graphics Preemption.
