E3 is just around the corner, so rumors about new versions of the consoles from Sony and Microsoft are going to be the daily bread. The latest information suggests that the new Xbox One will be 40% smaller than the original model.

New Xbox One will be 40% more compact than the current one with more efficient hardware

The new Xbox One will see its dimensions reduced by 40% and will include support for 4K although everything indicates that it will only be for playing multimedia content and not for games. These features would not be enough to stand up to the new PS4K which will be 50% more powerful than the original PS4 thanks to its renewed APU with AMD Polaris graphics manufactured at 14 nm. Sony's new console should be able to comfortably handle games at 1080p resolution and 60fps speed, which would put a sweating Xbox in check to maintain 1080p.

Let's not forget the rumors about the Xbox One Scorpio, another new variant of the original Xbox One that would arrive in 2017. Scorpio will multiply by four the graphic power of the current Xbox One, for a maximum power of 6 TFLOPs with what would be a 50% more powerful than the PS4K with only 4 TFLOPs. The extra power of the Xbox One Scorpio would allow you to move games with greater ease at 1080p resolution, very high levels of detail and a high speed of 60 fps for greater fluidity in movements. Xbox One Scorpio could even offer games with simple graphics at native 4K resolution or rescale more complex games that cannot be rendered at this resolution. Xbox Scorpio will be compatible with all released games.

With this we would have two new variants of the Xbox, one of them just as powerful but 40% smaller and another variant in 2017 that will be much more powerful and will seek to stand up to the PS4 and the Nintendo NX.
