First amd opencl 2.0 icd released
AMD has released the new AMD Catalyst 14.4.1 RC1 drivers, the first with support for the new OpenCL 2.0 API, support for which GPUs based on the Graphics Core Next graphics architecture are required .
AMD's new ICD OpenCL 2.0 supports the main API features such as shared virtual memory, which provides a unified address space for applications, which will be able to access both graphic memory and system memory in a unified way.
Recall that Intel was the first GPU manufacturer to launch support for the new API ahead of AMD and Nvidia.
