With NVIDIA's latest version of NVFlash, version 5.513.0, users can now read and write BIOS to Turing-based graphics cards. This includes the brand new RTX 2080 Ti, 2080, and 2070. Although this may seem mundane at first, due to the different power limits between graphics cards, there is hope that BIOS cross-flashing may result in tangible performance improvements..

NVFlash already allows BIOS flashing on GeForce RTX

In response to the release of NVFlash 5.513.0, TechPowerUp has released a new trial version of the GPU-Z application, which supports the ability to save the BIOS of Turing-based graphics cards. With these two updates, performance enthusiasts now have the ability to save their BIOS with GPU-Z and flash a new BIOS on their RTX series cards with NVFlash.

Please note that BIOS storage on older NVIDIA graphics cards should continue to function properly, however further testing is required due to the number of code changes. To help mitigate any issues, new security controls have been added as a precaution. Even so, the developers of the application are not responsible for any damage caused by the bad flashing of the BIOS of any graphics card.

For those already used to flashing the BIOS of their graphics cards, this should not be a problem. On the other hand, for those who want to try it for the first time, it is recommended to document yourself well to avoid disasters.
