Yesterday we already gave a preview of the novelties that the brand brought regarding its new generation of laptop processors. And now we are going to continue with five other news that we have collected through your press release, which highlights its new Intel Optane M15 memory .

Intel Optane M15

We start this list of news with what is surely the most interesting. This is the new Intel Optane M15 memory, which will be available from the third quarter of 2019.

This memory has improvements in both speed and consumption to be able to start devices and applications at a higher speed. The M15, with M.2 form factor, is based on Intel Optane H10 memory with solid state storage that also implements Intel Quad Level Cell (QLC) 3D NAND technology. The brand claims that it will have a large storage capacity, although it has not given more details about it.

Honeycomb Glacier screen prototype

Precisely this screen we already found on our first day of Computex from the hand of Asus with its new and impressive ZenBook Pro Duo. Well, this is the first novelty, an accompanying screen that Intel calls Honeycomb Glacier and that is intended to be used in notebooks for content creators where an extended graphical interface is greatly appreciated.

This display integrates seamlessly with the brand's 9th generation processors. In addition, Intel has brought with it Wi-Fi 6 client connectivity with a network card that will be integrated into new-generation laptops and motherboards.

Mohawk River, the prototype environmental PC

Intel first and foremost at this event has sought a balance between technology and environmental protection, with environmentally friendly hardware and energy efficiency. What this PC prototype aims to achieve is:

  • Adaptability to the user's needs, integrating 180-degree cameras, external secondary displays in the equipment and of course voice interaction.Connect with people using closed-cap intelligence, allowing a smooth transition in the transition from open-cap to closed-cap. This is basically your intention for a team to become active in less than 1 second. Likewise, continue to collect data by the team even while keeping the cover closed, and allow 360-degree video conferencing.

Development Kit for Artificial Intelligence on PC

The third item featured is an AI Development User Kit, offered in collaboration with Asus. This kit consists of a computer equipped with an Intel Core CPU and Intel integrated graphics along with an Intel Movidius Myriad X VPU unit to assist in processing large workloads in AI applications.

As for software, pre-installed tools will be included for developers with Windows ML libraries, toolkit for the Intel OpenVINO platform and everything necessary to build an integrated work environment. The kit in question will be available from July 2019.

Intel NUC Compute Element: Start of Modular Computing

This is another element provided with the necessary hardware to be able to operate independently, which consists of an Intel CPU of course, RAM and storage memory, and different connectivity options.

The objective of this team is to promote computer solutions in stands, smart TVs, home appliances and electronic products more basic than a PC. This Intel NUC will have different hardware and CPU options to suit user needs, and the first products with it are expected to come out in the first half of 2020.

Well, this is all that Intel brings us in terms of news other than processors, undoubtedly small things that in the end make a brand great. betting above all on Artificial Intelligence, energy efficiency and professional development options.
