Intel motherboard partners have released a BIOS update for their current Z370 motherboards. The latest BIOS revision is surprising for one reason only, adding support for the next-generation Intel Core CPUs that will have 8 cores (Core i9-9900K).
Z370 Motherboards - Support for the new generation of Intel Core processors is here
Almost all of the major motherboard manufacturers have released a new BIOS for their current generation, the Z370 motherboards, preparing for the new Intel Core to arrive this year. In addition to bringing support for new processors, the July BIOS update also improves system performance and updates the Intel Management Engine.
We know that Intel has not released a new processor this month and the Core i7-8086K, Intel's latest new chip, was released last month. Based on a design similar to the Core i7-8700K, current motherboards fully support it, so no major BIOS change is required. But here it is a whole new generation of processors.
Currently, Intel has a very confusing eighth-generation lineup that includes processors based on Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, and Cannonlake. With the current ninth-generation core, codenamed 'Ice Lake, ' still far from launch on desktop PCs, it appears that the ninth-generation brand will hit desktop computers soon, but in the form of Coffee Lake. 'improved'. This lineup is also expected to introduce Intel's long-awaited 8-core option, which will put them on par with AMD's Ryzen processors in the mainstream desktop segment.
