LENOVO confirms the existence of the GeForce GTX 1160 for laptops on its support page

Lenovo's list for unequivocally shows the existence of this new ' GTX ' series graphics card for the Legion Y530 and Legion Y7000P notebooks.

The list doesn't provide technical details about the new GTX 1160 graphics card, unfortunately, but it does suggest that the GPU will come in 3 and 6 GB memory variants. This would make sense, as it is in a similar position to the current GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti offerings, available with 2GB or 4GB of memory.

The GTX 11 series would not have Ray Tracing capabilities

Previous leaks related to the 11 series have indicated that Nvidia could be using RTX Turing series chips to power the new GTX 11 series, but without Ray Tracing capabilities, that is, without RT cores, or Tensor cores.

All eyes seem to be on CES, where Nvidia will be present with a conference of its own, surely to announce the RTX 2060 graphics cards and the RTX variants for laptops, among which could be the mentioned GTX 1160 and the entire GTX 11 series, if we are talking about more than one model.

Although the high-end Turing graphics cards have not entirely convinced gamers (mostly because of their high prices), the RTX 2060 could do a lot of damage in the mid-range, which is where it sells in a larger volume of units.. We will see what AMD will do about it, which will also be at CES telling its news.
