LG does not plan to launch a folding smartphone yet
The company has its reasons for not wanting to launch this device at the moment. So it is not that there have been problems in its production, that is known.
LG won't launch its foldable smartphone soon
LG has made it clear that demand for a folding smartphone is currently low. It is not a model that is going to generate too many sales or benefits. In addition, it must be borne in mind that the production cost of a smartphone with these characteristics is currently high. So the brand prefers to wait a while until they are going to launch it.
So at the moment they consider that it is too early to launch this phone. This does not mean that they have abandoned its development. The Korean company continues to have an interest in this segment, but it is a segment that has to grow.
Meanwhile, LG prefers to focus its efforts on its high-end and the introduction of 5G on its phones. At MWC 2019 we will be able to see some of the company's innovations for this market segment. So we hope to know soon what they are going to leave us.
