Do not be fooled by the external appearance of this Logitech G Pro Wireless, because you will be in for a surprise. This mouse is one of the top range of the Swiss brand and specially designed for eSports in its Pro series. A mouse that mounts the brand's most advanced sensor, the Hero 16K.

We are presented with wireless connectivity and ambidextrous design, with a simple design, but superior performance. It is clear that a mouse should not be beautiful to do its job better and this is the living example, since it has such emblematic references as ESL One or London Spitfire. That does prepare the pocket because it is not given away. Find out in our analysis in Spanish, let's go there.

As always, thank Logitech G for the assignment of this product to carry out the analysis.

Logitech G Pro Wireless technical features

Unboxin and design

Logitech G Pro Wireless comes with a luxurious presentation, to be a mouse, although the price is worth it. It consists of a small thick cardboard box, thick black, letters of corporate colors and the full color image of the product. On the back of the box, we will have some of its main characteristics that can be seen against the light.

In the lateral area is where we have the interesting, since all its technical characteristics are specified in several languages. On the other hand, we have the well-recognized logos of the world's most prestigious online tournaments, such as Counter Strike's ESL One or Overwatch's London Spitfire. This kit makes it clear what it is designed for.

To open the box it is only necessary to put it horizontal so that it gradually lowers by lowering the coupling.

Inside we find the product accompanied by various elements, all of them very well placed:

  • Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse Instruction and Warranty Manual USB Cable to Charge Mouse Battery Replacement 4-Button Side Set USB Adapter and Wireless Receiver

Logitech G Pro Wireless is one of the top products of the brand, a mouse exclusively designed for the best gaming performance equipped with the latest technology of the brand. This equipment mounts the top range optical sensor, the Logitech Hero 16K, capable of obtaining resolutions between 100 and 16000 DPI. A range of resolutions that will allow us to play on any type of screen or with multi-screen mounts.

Logitech is distinguished from most brands, in that it manufactures its own sensors and they are not exactly bad, just the opposite. The equipment will be designed to withstand accelerations greater than 40 G and maximum speeds of 400 ips. This means that the precision in fast movements will be very good.

Logitech G Pro Wireless is a wireless mouse, and will not therefore be slower or more imprecise than wired ones. It has a response speed of 1000 Hz or 1 ms and mounts a 32-bit ARM processor to support this refresh rate and LIGHSPEED wireless technology.

The battery is incorporated into this device and is perfectly rechargeable, with an autonomy of 48 hours using lighting and 60 hours without its activation. The cable for recharging is USB type with 1.8 meters. It has a complex coupling on the device to be able to play with the connected one without the port suffering movements and wear.

If you look at its top, we find a fairly clean and simple area. Two large main buttons that occupy the entire part and reach almost the middle area of the mouse, and a good-sized wheel covered in rubber with small grooves so that your finger doesn't slip.

The most remarkable thing is that we do not have central buttons to configure DPI, it will not be necessary either, since the mouse has memory to store up to 5 operating profiles.

To notify us what type of DPI profile you have loaded, we will have 3 small LEDs just behind the main buttons, which at first glance are priceless. When we are in the configuration software we will see them on.

The switches mounted by Logitech G Pro Wireless are of the highest quality, which have a mechanical tension system so that the path of the clicks is as short as possible and that they are able to withstand the tension of our fingers. Of course they are designed to withstand more than 50 million clicks.

This mouse is completely symmetrical, both if we look at it from the front as if we do it from the side. We see very simple lines without ergonomic grooves or aggressive edges on the side. On the back we have the typical brand logo with RGB LED lighting configured by default in rainbow mode.

On both sides we have two buttons of small size and very well located so that we do not need to move our fingers too much for their operation. All the buttons that we have seen will be perfectly programmable through the Logitech Gaming Software brand software, as well as other aspects.

For this side part, we have a set of 4 spare buttons, since they are almost always the most used along with the main ones in Shooter games for different functions.

As we have already said, it is a completely ambidextrous mouse, it is exactly the same on both sides, making it ideal for professional left-handed players. Unlike other mice of this type, the Logitech G Pro Wireless is surprisingly comfortable for both hands.

In the lower area we have 4 surfers built in Teflon, and with a low friction surface to ensure the good management of the equipment. According to the brand, they are designed to support up to 250 km in movements, we have not seen it feasible to carry out this test. Movement is very fast, especially on smooth surfaces without a mat, such as wood or plastic.

In this area we also have the power button and another for synchronization with the wireless receiver. In the back area we have a compartment with a removable magnetized lid to store the USB receiver and transport it.

Grip and sensitivity tests on movement

Because it is a team specially designed for gaming, we strictly see it necessary to talk about its performance in some gaming and precision tests.

The Logitech G Pro Wireless measures are 125 x 63.5 x 40 mm and has a weight of only 80 grams, despite being a wireless device. Its light weight is noticed just by grabbing it for the first time. We must say that if we do not have a mat, the movements of the mouse will be extremely fast, to the point of needing our outer fingers to brake on the surface of the table.

The ideal grip of this mouse with one hand like mine of 190 x 100 mm is of the Claw Grip or claw type, since it is a rather narrow and short mouse, although it is long and the palm type grip, although it is very good, it makes me forced. On the other hand, with the fingertip grip or figertip grip it is also quite comfortable to use, with a good mat we will get a lot out of the super fast movements that we can do in this grip.

Despite its ambidextrous design, it is a really comfortable and versatile mouse to play practically any game, be it RPG or Shooter, its low weight and easy grip, make it ideal in my opinion. The front buttons are huge and that makes things a lot easier.

We have carried out a series of typical tests to check different aspects of the equipment's performance. To test the variance of the movement, we have used the Paint tool to draw a line with the mouse located in a physically preset area and at different speeds. Accuracy is simply perfect by ignoring failures caused by ourselves. In the past we have done, all of them have occupied the same extension.

In pixel skipping tests we have not detected absolutely any step or jump of pixels. The high-resolution sensor already promises us immaculate performance.

Tracking tests at high speeds during gaming tests are also perfect , no jittering or pixel skipping is detected. The 1000Hz Polling rate does its job perfectly. To force the team a little more, we have made quick passes by lifting and supporting the mouse and neither the pointer nor the position of the player are altered in the least when making contact with the surface.

Undoubtedly all the tests have been passed in the best possible way as it should be in a mouse with these benefits.

To finish we will see some general photos of the equipment working on a mat.

Firmware and configuration

We have installed the Logitech Gaming Software program that will provide us with all the configuration options for this Logitech G Pro Wireless.

Although, first of all, the manufacturer makes it clear that this device will not have any type of movement filter or corner detection. It is a gaming team, so these filters do not make sense.

On the main screen of this software we will have an overview of the equipment with the state of the equipment and the battery that we have left. Using the lower buttons we can see the different configuration menus.

If we click on a mouse button, we will enter its configuration in terms of creating new profiles and functions to perform. We will have an option to activate the automatic detection of games and thereby load a profile that we have created for it.

The first one is dedicated to configuring DPI profiles and mouse button mapping. The configuration of these will be extremely intuitive and simple.

We can save up to 5 different profiles in our mouse, which are the ones that appear in the software. By selecting any button we can assign the function of changing the profile.

In the next option we will have the section to configure the lighting. In this sense we will have a total of animation modes and the possibility of eliminating lighting or changing its speed.

Of course in each of the 5 profiles, we can make the corresponding changes.

In the next section we will have basically the information about the battery consumption and quick options to configure the lighting.

We will also have a section to configure the macros of our equipment, which is quite simple and easy to use, like all software. We will only have to press the play button and do what we want to store.

The last option is to configure the software preferences and notifications for it. For more details, let each user explore all these options.

Final words and conclusion about Logitech G Pro Wireless

There is no doubt that Logitech G Pro Wireless is one of the best wireless gaming mice on the market, both for performance and versatility and comfort, despite being ambidextrous. The visual aspect can deceive at first glance or seem like a mouse from the bunch, but nothing further from reality we will notice its benefits are just moving it.

The aspect in which it stands out the most is in its features, a state-of-the-art sensor with high resolution makes it achieve impeccable results in its use. Despite being a wireless mouse, the performance is on par with the best wired.

If we add to this the customization possibilities through the software and the ability to memorize 5 configured profiles in a very simple and intuitive way, it makes it a great team to take with us anywhere. The battery life is pretty good.

We also recommend our guide to the best mice on the market

They are its very low weight and the measures it has, we think it is usable for both small and large hands, of course more oriented towards the latter. But we have also felt very comfortable using it with the three types of grip, especially the claw, which we find to be ideal for large hands. It is a team that will work well for all types of games, from FPS to RPG.

Surely the least beautiful, in addition to the visual aspect is the price, since we can acquire it for the symbolic figure of 155 euros, but the good almost always is expensive, and the products of this brand are no exception. We must bear in mind that we are facing your Pro series.
