A few weeks ago we announced the new Logitech headset range, because today we have with us the Logitech G935, the top-of-the-range gaming headphones of the brand, with wireless or analog connectivity if we use it on mobile, and DTS 2.0 3D sound with the new 50mm Pro-G driver. And since it could not be missing in a gaming accessory, we have a manageable LIGHTSYNC lighting system. If you are thinking of buying a new helmet, here the analysis of these Logitech, will they convince you?

We are grateful to Logitech for the trust in our team to give us this product for analysis.

Logitech G935 technical characteristics

Unboxing and design

These Logitech G935 have chosen a presentation of the most normal, with a tight flexible cardboard box fully ink in gray and blue tones. In it we can see a huge photograph of the headset in the front area, along with other images in the back area with relevant information only the new programmable function keys.

In order for the product to be perfectly protected, the inside of the box consists of a thick cardboard mold with a central element that, while holding the headphones, also stores the connection cables inside. In total we will have the following accessories in the purchase pack:

  • Logitech G935 Headset. Jack cable 4 poles for mobile phone 1.5 meters. USB cable for charging 2 meters. Wireless receiver (inside the headset itself). User guide and warranty.

We note that the connectivity seems to have used high quality cables, with a braid on the USB cable and ultra flexible rubber on the Jack connector. Through Jack we can connect this equipment in an analog way to any device compatible with 3.5 mm 4-pole Jack.

These Logitech G935 have a continuous style and design in the brand's gaming equipment, finished in premium PVC plastic and with circummaural ear cups. The chosen color is black in its entirety, with a combination of matte and glossy finishes that suit it very well, denoting that it is a top of the range product.

The fastening mode consists of a simple bridge headband and with a good padding in the upper area to protect our head from friction and discomfort. Not for lack of double bridge we will have a worse fit, since we will have an extendable headband on both sides of enough length for practically any type of head.

We can note that the chassis on which the set is mounted is made of steel, and we must say that, quite hard and rigid, because until it fits the head, the headphones will be quite tight and tight.

Mobility on this Logitech G935 is assured, as the domes are attached to the headband with two hinged legs that allow good mobility. In turn these legs are supported in a joint with a mobility of approximately 100 degrees in rotation.

Whoever searches finds, and that is why we have in one of the ear domes a small blue plastic, which clearly shows us that the wireless USB receiver is located inside. Of course we can remove this plastic, because to open the compartment, we will only have to slightly pull the plastic out.

To fasten this cover, a system of two magnetized anchor points has been used, which we must say could fall apart in falls or movements that are too sudden. But nobody is going to do such a thing, right?

The upper protection of the headband has a synthetic leather finish to house a foam element of good thickness and medium hardness, to avoid having contact with the hard area. We must say that it is very comfortable and does not produce any heat.

This set has total measurements of 188x195x87 mm and a weight of 379 grams, we are really facing a light team compared to other headphones on the market, and therefore the mobility and the hours with them on will become more bearable, at least this has been the case. our case.

Let's take a closer look at the domes of this Logitech G935, which of course will be in charge of providing us with sound, controls and connectivity. We are facing a circummaural type configuration with a large design and clearly oval, so that our ears are perfectly fitted inside.

For comfort, synthetic leather and foam pads have been used that give us very good feelings of comfort, thanks to their abundance and being very soft. In turn, the interior is covered by a textile mesh thus preventing dirt from entering the speakers. We must say that the soundproofing abroad is spectacular, so very good work in these halls.

Internal features and benefits

We have seen the exterior appearance of these Logitech G935, so now it is time to see what benefits it can offer us.

The first to comment on the mode of operation. We are facing a wireless headset whose signal travels by waves of 2.4 GHz frequency when we have connected the corresponding receiver to the USB port of our PC. The wireless range is between 15 and 20 meters depending on our environment, which after checking it effectively is so. If we already interpose 3 or 4 walls in between, the range is reduced to about 10 meters.

But it is not all, since we can connect it in an analog way to dispense with the use of batteries and lighting, in this sense we will have a stereo equipment that will be ideal for many gamers.

We will start, of course, with the speakers, these being 50mm Pro-G transducers, the most innovative of the brand to date. They implement DTS Headphone: X 2.0 technology, providing a digitally simulated 7.1-channel 3D surround sound experience. To ensure top-notch performance, the frequency range spans our entire audible spectrum, from 20 Hz to 20, 000 Hz. The output impedance can be two values, 39 ohms in passive mode and 5 kilohms in active mode, with a sensitivity of 93 dB SPL.

The sound experience is spectacular, thanks to these insulating domes we experience a clean and powerful sound with strong bass, but without forgetting mids and highs. The balance is very good and the simulation of 7.1 sorround is of great quality, without excessive echoes and perfectly directional, what can be done with just two speakers is incredible, without a doubt.

It is time to talk about the Logitech G935 microphone, which is a folding rod type and will automatically activate or deactivate when unfolding and folding it. In addition, we can lengthen it a little by pulling it out for better adaptability.

This 6mm mic has a cardioid-type sound pickup mode, similar to fixed equipment, and a frequency response of between 100Hz and 10kHz. It is a good performing mic, although we are far from encompassing the full audible range of microphones for advanced use. As for use, the sound quality is good, although it is true that it would need more capacity to pick up low frequencies to

that the sound was something deeper. In any case, for use in online games and occasional talks it will be more than enough.

The connections of this headset are in the left pavilion and just in the lower area, in it we will have a USB port to connect the charging cable to our PC, and the 3.5 mm Jack connector to make connections with mobile devices and expand compatibility on virtually any device, including consoles and Mac computers.

In the back area of the left pavilion we will have the interaction buttons of the Logitech G935 team, which is very interesting indeed. In the upper area we have an on and off switch, accompanied by three other programmable and customizable G buttons thanks to the Logitech G HUB software. In them we can configure a multitude of options as we will see later to quickly access them from our helmets.

We continue with the presence of a button for activating and deactivating the microphone, although we will not use it much, we have already commented that it is activated and deactivated with the movement of the rod itself. To finish we have the volume control, which is essential and, despite being on the wheel, it works perfectly.

We end the features by talking about its RGB LED lighting with LIGHSYNC technology fully customizable from the G HUB software. The average autonomy of this equipment consists of about 8 hours with the lighting on and 12 hours if we turn it off, so it is not bad. We have verified this ourselves and we arrived at 8 hours without problems and even surpassing them in a full charge cycle, that is, at a medium-low volume and without the use of the microphone.

We see that the final appearance of the headset is phenomenal with very striking lighting due to its large size and design, since both the logo of the pavilions and the rear band have the system. We miss a rainbow mode of those we see in practically all teams, but it is irrelevant.

Logitech G HUB Software

It is worth commenting a little more in detail on this Logitech software with which to squeeze all the possibilities of our helmets. This software can be downloaded directly from the Logitech website for free.

The first thing we find when accessing is the lighting section of the headset. In it we can separately configure the logo area and the rear band to provide a different lighting configuration. We will have a good range of animations, even with synchronization for what we are listening to.

Another essential section is the configuration of the three G function keys. With the software we can select from typical sound controls such as bass increase or decrease, through lighting control, and even the functions of our mouse or copy and paste. We can also create macros from these keys for extra functions.

In another section we will have everything related to the configuration of the sound output, we can even customize the 7.1 surround system thanks to a test simulator. There is also no lack of an equalizer or generic information on our equipment, such as firmware version, battery life, etc.

Final words and conclusion about Logitech G935

After this analysis and after having tried these Logitech G935 for several days, we must say that the quality of the product is noticeable in every way. Its excellent design and quality of materials are obvious from the first moment. The sound quality and comfort of use are also top notch, with abundant ear cushions and spectacular exterior insulation.

We highlight the good balance of bass, mid and treble, which, of course, we can modify from the software, and also the simulated 3D sound experience, very successful and immersive. With 50mm Pro-G drivers and DTS Headphone: X 2.0 technology we have many customization options from software and all of them useful.

We also recommend our guide to the best gaming headphones on the market

The microphone does its job well, although it is true that the response range is not too wide, but enough to speak smoothly in chats, games and phone calls. A 6 mm micro with a small extendable rod that does not hinder anything.

We end with the lighting section and its autonomy. The finish is sensational, as could be expected, and the autonomy is what the brand promises, about 8 or 9 hours with lighting depending on the use we give it, and with a range of up to 20 meters that are indeed real. We miss a little more autonomy, since there are longer-lasting equipment on the market, but for that we have the possibility of connecting them by cable.

Logitech G935 can be found for a price of about 195 euros, an amount that we are used to with other top-of-the-range products from brands such as Razer. In this aspect, no surprise, they are high quality headphones that offer a first-class audio experience.
