TSMC also has a 6nm node prepared, but the jump from 7nm would not be so beastly, we are talking about a density of 18% more in favor of 6N compared to 7N.
We know that the Zen 2 is coming this year, and that the Zen 3 design that will appear in 2020 will use TSMC's 7nm + compatible design. But with the arrival of 6nm at the end of next year we could see Zen 4 processors in early 2021 at the 6nm node, or making the leap directly to 5nm.
