Qnap today announced that its Turbo NAS products are now compatible with the new WD Red® 5 / 6TB and WD Red Pro NAS hard drives. Designed specifically for NAS applications and with Western Digital's exclusive NASware® 3.0 technology, these New WD Red and WD Red Pro hard drives provide users with increased storage capacity and improved performance for their NAS applications.

The new 5 / 6TB WD Red NAS Hard Drives are designed for NAS systems up to 8 bays in small office / home office and non-professional use environments, where they offer increased capacity to meet any growth in demand for storage space of data. WD Red Pro NAS Hard Drives have been designed by Western Digital to provide affordable, robust, and highly reliable hard drives for medium to large-scale professional NAS systems with 8 -16 bays.
