The all-in-one personal computer concept was created to save space and simplify PC design.

Although there have been a number of traditional AIO computers available through the years, the major PC manufacturers only started addressing the performance of demanding market segments especially several years ago.

At the Monday Consumer Electronics Show, PC maker Maingear introduced the world's first desktop all-in-one AIO to the top of the gaming range.

Maingear Alpha 34 is a great all in one desktop with 34 ″ curved screen with 3440 × 1440 pixels. Unlike the vast majority of AIOs, the Alpha 34 is built around standard mini-ITX boards, in this case the ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Impact or the high-end ASRock X99E-ITX.

Due to the flexibility on the motherboard of the selection, the system can use either socket 1151 or socket 2011-3 Cpu depending on the board of directors, including Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7, Intel ® Xeon ® E5 v3, processors with up to 18 cores and up to 45 mb of cache memory. This desktop AIO uses the Maingear of the liquid cooling closed circuit itself to ensure server stability.

The Alpha 34 can be equipped with up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a solid state M. 2 NVMe drive and up to two 2.5 ″ storage devices. The all-in-one device can also accommodate full-size card graphics, including the AMD Radeon R9 Nano, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X, or professional cards.

The system naturally supports all the connectivity options provided by the mentioned motherboards, including Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac Wi-Fi, 5.1 audio channels, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 and so on.

As is generally the case for these manufacturers, Maingear offers a set of customization options for the entire device at different price ranges and performance levels. That said, the Alpha 34 is always equipped with a 450W power supply, and therefore not all configurations will be feasible. Intel Xeon Multi-core processors and graphics cards consume a large amount of power, and the 450W from their source may not be enough to power all possible configurations.

All Maingear all-in-ones, including the Alpha 34, can be customized, painted, and equipped with various external peripherals such as optical drives, keyboards, mice, and headphones.

Finally, Maingear will begin shipping its Alpha 34 beginning February 1, 2016.
