Manjaro arm 16.05 released with raspberry pi 2 mount

Manjaro is a distro that is based on Arch Linux and for the last three months has been working on completing a full version of its operating system for ARM devices. On the day of the date, those responsible for the distro have finally released the first official version called Manjaro ARM 16.05.

This new operating system specially created for ARM can be installed on the famous Raspberry Pi "mini-PCs" and more specifically on the Raspberry Pi 2, as stated by its managers who have already made available the first stable image for this platform, which Users can install on any GNU / Linux, Mac OS X, or Microsoft Windows operating systems.

“Not much has changed on the surface for end users. However, we have spent a lot of switching time on the way things are handled in the 'backend' so that the construction and maintenance of the system does not take so much time and less on our part… ” was the comment of the Dodge JCR team, who work on the Manjaro ARM version.

Manjaro ARM is coming to Raspberry Pi 3

Manjaro ARM 16.05 can not yet be installed on Raspberry Pi 3 devices but they have confirmed that they are already working on a specific version for it, a Raspberry Pi 3 that already has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built-in. In addition to the first and second generation Raspberry Pi, Manjaro ARM 16.05 can be installed on Odroid XU4, Odroid C1 +, Beagleboard XM, Beaglebone Black and Banana Pi devices.
