My must-have apps on ipad
Table of contents:
It's been almost two years since the 12.9 ”iPad Pro has become my primary work device. Since I got hold of it, the Mac has been in the background, and currently, I have a Mac Mini, only for private moments. Sometimes days go by without you using it. Today I want to tell you which applications are essential for me to be able to work every day only with my iPad.
Essential apps for working with iPad Pro
I dedicate myself to teaching, and every day I use my iPad Pro to design activities and exams, correct works, keep in touch with my students, create schematics and maps, etc. But I also write here in Professional Review, so I also use it to write my posts.
Over time, the applications on my iPad have changed; some have disappeared, replaced by others that I have considered better, or by functions integrated directly into iOS. At the same time, I have been incorporating new applications that respond to my needs.
Next, I want to show you a strict list with the essential applications in my day to day. Probably not all of them will adapt to your needs and the specific use that you give to your device, but perhaps it will help you discover apps that improve your experience.
- Pages. It is my fundamental (and only) text editor. I use it almost daily to prepare activities, exams and summaries. In addition, it allows me to open and edit imported documents in Word, while I can export in different formats, including pdf, to other applications such as GoodNotes, Files or send via email or Telegram message. Batch Resize. Sometimes I must include images, both in my posts and in my class work. Batch Resize allows me to resize images in batch and with total freedom, thus adjusting their size and weight to my needs. GoodNotes. It is my basic working application. With the new version I keep all my work and study documents properly organized and classified in folders. GoodNotes is the essential app for handwriting with Apple Pencil, creating outlines and concept maps, annotating pdf documents, and much more. 2DO. Time and task management is essential if we don't want to forget anything. For this I use 2DO , a complete task manager where I quickly write down everything I have to do. In addition, it includes labels, reminders by date and / or location, you can add attachments to your tasks, schedule recurring tasks every day, week, month, year or on certain days of the week, and it stays perfectly in sync with its iPhone version and Mac. Spark. We all have an email app that, perhaps due to inertia, is usually the Mail itself provided natively by Apple on iOS. However, Mail has some shortcomings, and that's why I switched to Spark , a mail manager to which you can add all your email accounts, and whose star feature is an intelligent inbox, capable of putting first what it's supposed to be more important to you. In addition, it integrates with third-party services such as DropBox, 2DO, Evernote and more, and its operation by gestures makes it extremely agile and easy to use. Telegram. As an instant messaging platform, Telegram cannot be missing. Both on my iPad Pro, on my iPhone or on my Mac, it allows me to be in constant contact with friends, family, coworkers and more, while being aware of everything that interests me thanks to the groups and channels.
These are not all the apps I use on my iPad, but they are the apps I couldn't work without. Of course I also have different cloud storage services integrated in Files, entertainment applications like Netflix, Sky, Books, Podcasts, Music, Amazon Prime Video ; social networks like Twitter , specific tools for my work like iDoceo , image editing applications like Canva (with which I can create covers and templates for my GoodNotes digital notebooks), or utilities like Web Translator , ideal for translating web pages that are found in languages unknown to me.
