Microsoft adds support for 120 hz on xbox one
Table of contents:
Over the past few months, Microsoft has been improving the features of its Xbox One consoles in a rather interesting way, for example, adding support for 1440p resolutions, automatic low latency mode for HDMI 2.1, and beta support for AMD FreeSync 2. To all this will be added very soon the support for screens at 120 Hz.
Xbox One will take advantage of screens at 120 Hz
Microsoft continues to work to improve the experience of using Xbox One owners, in May, plans to add support for a 120Hz refresh rate with 1080p and 1440p resolutions. This 120 Hz support will be available for use on both televisions and compatible monitors, allowing Xbox One to take advantage of its capabilities.

Despite this, it is not expected that any Xbox One game will be published with 120Hz support, but the function is likely to work in conjunction with the implementation of FreeSync to provide a better visual experience, allowing the use of FreeSync features such as low frame rate compensation (LFC). This advanced technology uses a way to double the frame rate to expand the FreeSync range of a screen. For example, a FreeSync display with a variable refresh rate of 40Hz to 120Hz, you can use LFC to enable a range that extends to 30 FPS or less.
Thanks to the implementation of HDMI 2.1, variable refresh rates will become increasingly common on televisions, making Microsoft's adoption of FreeSync a positive move for the company in the long term. In this sense, Microsoft is an important step ahead of its rival Sony, who still does not think about adding support for FreeSync and 120 Hz on its Playstation 4 console.
