Microsoft has created a special edition of its recent Windows 10 operating system exclusively for the Chinese market. This new edition is called Windows 10 Zhuangongban and was created in conjunction between the Redmond giant and a Chinese state-owned company called Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), all in an effort to satisfy the "demanding" demands of the Chinese government.

For years that the government of China and Microsoft have been having problems, since the time of Windows XP where the Asian giant asked Microsoft to delay the end of support for the operating system, through the ban on Windows 8 for all administration of the been and leaning towards using Linux. Now with this "special" edition of Windows 10, it seems that Microsoft and China are going to iron out those rough edges where both win.

Windows 10 Zhuangongban will be adjusted "according to the needs of the Chinese government"

During an interview with Microsoft China CEO Ralph Haupter, it was confirmed that this edition had been completed and some interesting details were given about some of its features. To start, this edition of Windows 10 will have fewer pre-installed applications as well as the number of services, Bing is replaced by Baidu as the default search engine and there will be greater security and management control that will be adjusted “according to the needs of the Chinese government ” This last sentence we can already imagine what it refers to but Ralph Haupter did not want to reveal much more about the privacy and free Internet access controls that this version of Windows 10 will have“ Zhuangongban ”.

On the part of the Chinese government, the state will continue financing NeoKylin, a modified Linux operating system with the same changes as in Windows 10 Zhuangongban and which obey extreme government control.

In any case, this new edition should boost this operating system in China, at the "probably" cost of the vulnerable privacy of its users.
