MSI is the first manufacturer of AM4 motherboards to make new BIOS available to users to allow the use of the new Raven Ridge processors, or what is the minimum, the Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G.
MSI prepares its motherboards for Raven Ridge
Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G are AMD's new APUs that arrive with the Zen microarchitecture and Vega graphics to deliver a giant leap in performance compared to the previous generation Bristol Ridge. With these new processors there will no longer be a need to use a dedicated graphics card and users will be able to use the DVI, D-Sub, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors on MSI motherboards to send the video signal to the monitor.
The new MSI BIOS is now available for all AMD 300 series motherboards, this includes X370 XPower Gaming Titanium, X370 Gaming M7 ACK, X370 Gaming Pro Carbon, X370 Gaming Pro, X370 Gaming Plus, X370 SLI Plus, X370 Krait Gaming, B350 Tomahawk Plus, B350 Tomahawk, B350 Tomahawk Arctic, B350 PC Mate, B350M Gaming Pro, B350M Mortar, B350M Bazooka, B350M Pro-VDH, and A320M Gaming Pro.
Future AMD 400 series motherboards will have out-of-the-box support for these Raven Ridge processors and the second generation AMD Ryzen at 12nm FinFET. You can now download the new BIOS from the official MSI website.
