AMD would have created a new badge for motherboard manufacturers to use on their compatible models with the Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G out of the box processors. This badge would be included in the motherboards based on the X370, B350 and A320 chipsets that are put on sale already with a BIOS installed that allows using these processors without any update. Therefore, motherboards that do not include this badge will be those that need an update to be able to work with these new processors.
Furthermore, the 400 series motherboards that will be released to the market in the second quarter of the year will include out-of-the-box support for Raven Ridge processors and the second generation Ryzen that will arrive alongside them.
