Unboxing and design

The MSI Infinite A bets on the typical presentation of the brand and comes to us in a box with a very colorful design where black and red predominate, the corporate colors of the brand. The cover shows us a great image of the PC as well as its most outstanding characteristics as usual. As for the rear we have all the most important technical characteristics in several languages including Spanish.

The MSI Infinite A It is a new desktop computer that has been designed by MSI to offer the most demanding users all the best in a very compact form factor, without a doubt we are dealing with one of the best pre-assembled computers on the market and that comes to solve the problem. of quality alternatives offered by the market in this regard. MSI has put all its love as usual in all products so that the user has complete confidence that they take an exceptional team. Another of the key ideas of this team is that it is very easy to update by the user, in this way we can have the team always up to date so that we do not lack anything.

Its design can be defined as aggressive and very careful lines, where its dimensions of 210 x 450 x 488 and a weight of 15 KG stand out. The main side is formed by a large window that will allow us to perfectly see all the internal components, even when they are working with active lighting, which will give a spectacular effect. An RGB LED lighting system has also been installed on the front to offer the best possible aesthetics. This lighting is fully compatible with Mystic Light RGB LED technology for maximum customization.

It is quite easy to access the equipment, we just have to remove the 4 screws that are on the main side that contains the window.

Despite having such a compact size, it is a very powerful computer to run video games thanks to a configuration based on the Nvidia GTX 1080 or GeForce GTX 1070 graphics depending on the version we choose, in both cases with 8 GB of video memory and excellent performance both with virtual glasses and games in games of all kinds of resolution. The PCI Express slot features PCIe Steel Armor reinforcement to prevent bending due to the heavy weight of heavier and more powerful graphics cards.

The graphics card is accompanied by an advanced and very powerful Intel Core i7 7700 quad-core processor based on the Kaby Lake architecture, these cores operate at frequencies of 3.8 GHz in base mode and 4.4 GHz in turbo mode. We therefore have a combination of graphics card and processor that is the best we can find in the market and there will be nothing to resist it.

The processor and graphics card are in separate compartments to prevent heat from one can adversely affect the other.

Along with the processor we find 64 GB of memory that is divided into 4 DDR4 U-DIMMs at a speed of 2400 MHz and in a dual channel configuration to ensure maximum performance in all use situations.

Storage is not far behind, we find two 3.5 ″ bays for the installation of mechanical hard disks along with a 2.5 ″ bay and an M.2 slot to put a maximum performance SSD under the protocol NVMe. It is therefore a team that allows us to enjoy all the benefits of flash storage without giving up the high capacity of mechanical disks. For example, you can leave the Windows 10 operating system installed with the main applications on the SSD and heavy games, applications on the mechanical hard drive. We also highlight compatibility with Intel Optane.

As connectivity it has a Realtek 8111H network card, an Intel AC3168 wireless card (in the superior model) and Bluetooth 4.1 (in the superior model) for perfect communication without cables.

As for the sound, we find a 5.1-channel HD engine that relies on Nahimic technology to offer the best quality and improve its possibilities in video games, it is a technology of military origin that is specialized in positioning enemies with a high Fidelity.

So much technology and power together has the drawback of generating a lot of heat during its operation, a heat that must be eliminated to avoid problems and nothing better for it than the advanced cooling system. Special mention to the Silent Storm Cooling 3 cooling system that relies on various copper heatpipes and fans to maintain excellent temperatures for both the processor and the graphics card. According to MSI, they consider it the best extreme cooling system for gaming.

Final words and conclusion about MSI Infinite A

The MSI Infinite A ranks in the TOP 3 of the best pre-assembled computers on the market. A team that equips a powerful i7-7700, 16 GB of RAM, an 8 GB GDDR5 GTX 1070 graphics card, a NVMe SSD (Intel SSDpekkw256g7) + a mechanical disk for data / software and an incredible lighting system.

In our tests it has performed at a great level, playing in 1920 x 1080 resolution at a very high FPS scale. And is that currently few games can make this piece of equipment sweat. Having three independent cooling zones helps a lot to have excellent temperatures.

We recommend reading the best processors on the market

Special mention to its beautiful internal and external RGB lighting system. Incorporating a case with a tempered glass window is a great combination with top-notch hardware. Although we would have liked to see an i7-7700K and a Z270 motherboard as a processor, but since we do not need to overclock, we understand the incorporation of a B250 motherboard.

Currently it can be purchased in Spain for a price of 1600 euros. We know it is not a cheap product, but it seems like a good start to the concept for a line of pre-assembled equipment by one of the best hardware manufacturers worldwide.
