MSI Mech 2 is a new series of graphics cards from MSI in response to the Nvidia GeForce Partner Program, although it has been officially canceled. For now, there will be an MSI Radeon RX 580 Mech 2 with 8GB of memory and a Radeon RX 570 Mech 2.

MSI Radeon RX 580 Mech 2 and Radeon RX 570 Mech 2, new cards based on AMD Polaris

Visually the Radeon RX 580 Mech 2 is very reminiscent of the Radeon RX 580 Gaming X from MSI. Apparently, the manufacturer only made small changes, for example, the radiator cover has a slightly different shape. The biggest change could affect the heatsink, with an additional heatpipe compared to the Radeon RX 580 Gaming X, at least based on what can be seen in the image.

There are no other visual changes on the MSI Radeon RX 580 Mech 2, the video outputs are identical with two HDMI 2.0b and two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. The Radeon RX 570 and Radeon RX 580 from the Mech 2 series are expected to be released in July. Graphics cards may be presented to Computex approximately one month prior to release.

Currently, MSI has a total of four different models of the Radeon RX 580 and three variants of the Radeon RX 570. These are divided into two series, the cheapest Armor models, and the highest quality Gaming X models, but also more expensive.. The Mech 2 series may have originally been planned as a series of AMD exclusive graphics cards due to Nvidia's GeForce Partner Program (GPP). Whether MSI is still holding on to the Mech 2 series or changing plans again after GPP's failure is unknown. What do you think about the launch of these new MSI Mech 2 cards?
