MSI has presented a new motherboard with LGA 1150 socket from intel for Intel Haswell processors, it is the new MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition.

The MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition comes in ATX format and has an LGA 1150 socket for Intel Haswell processors, this socket is surrounded by four slots for DDR3 RAM with a maximum frequency of 3, 200 MHz (OC) supporting a maximum amount of 32GB.

Regarding the graphical configuration possibilities, it has two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots that work at x8 when both are in use, so they are compatible with multi GPU SLI and CrossFire configuration, it also has two PCI Express 2.0 x1 and two PCI slots.

Its storage possibilities are provided by six USB 3.0 ports, two of them through a connector and another six USB 2.0, four through two internal connectors, six SATA 3 ports, one SATA Express port and one M.2 port. It has Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and a Realtek ALC892 audio chip that supports HD 7.1 audio and offers VGA, DVI and HDMI video outputs.

The board has high quality components within the Military Class 4 category and has exclusive brand technologies such as OC Genie 4, Click BIOS 4 and Circuit protection that protects the processor from overheating and the USB from short circuits.
