Others, more cautious, are waiting for new motherboards, with more stable BIOS and with much more competitive prices . We have received the MSI X370 Krait Gaming that is positioned among the cheapest X370 motherboards but also with a really attractive design and above all effective at maximum performance.

Unboxing and design
The MSI X370 Krait Gaming It comes packed in a standard size cardboard box. An aggressive design predominates along with a perfect identification of the motherboard that we have acquired.
In the back of the box we find all the details of the main technical characteristics and some of its specifications.
Without further ado we discuss the bundle that will come as standard:

As we can see it is an ATX format plate with dimensions of 30.5 cm x 24.4 cm for the AM4 socket. The plate has a very striking design and it resembles a camouflage skin. The Krait series reinvents itself but maintains its great matte black PCB. It incorporates the top-of-the-range X370 chipset that supports the main AMD Ryzen processors in its Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 3 and Athlon series.

The MSI X370 Krait Gaming features two zones with cooling: power phases and one for the X370 chipset. All its components are armored with Military Class 4 technology. But what is this technology? Basically it incorporates improved components: power phases, chokes, capacitors of better quality than the rest of the most basic range. In other words, this allows us to perform a better overclock, greater stability and, above all, durability.
It has a total of 8 + 2 power phases that are more than enough to squeeze any AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 processor. The heatsinks are very good and always keep temperatures at bay.

The board incorporates a total of 4 64 GB compatible DDR4 RAM memory sockets with frequencies up to 3200 MHz in Dual Channel. It is fully compatible with AMD's A-XMP profile.
The MSI X370 Krait Gaming presents a very interesting distribution of its PCI Express connections. It has three PCIe 3.0 to x16 slots and another three normal PCIe to x1. The PCI Express 3.0 to x16 incorporate a "Steel Armor" armor that better cushions the graphics that are so heavy that they exist on the market today, the same thing happens with the memories but these what it does is improve the transfer.
Like all motherboards with X370 chipset, it supports both Nvidia Way SLI technology to connect two graphics cards and three in AMD's CrossfireX . In both cases we would have a configuration of x8 - x8.
As expected, it incorporates an M.2 connection to install any SSD with type 2242/2260/2280/22110 format. As we have already discussed, these devices are very fast and have a bandwidth speed of up to 32 GB / s.
As we have already seen in the high-end it has the Audio Boost 4 technology. As many you know, this technology uses better (premium) components, improves sound quality and compatibility with very high-end headphones. Now it is a luxury to do without a dedicated sound card. Great MSI job!
Regarding storage, it has six SATA III 6 GB / s connections with support for RAID 0.1, 5 and 10. Next to them we see an internal USB 3.0 connection.
It also features RGB Mystic Light technology with a 16.8 million color palette. In addition to lighting the motherboard, it allows you to connect an LED strip to be able to personalize all the options from your smartphone. It is amazing what it offers us. Finally we detail the rear connections of the MSI X370 Krait Gaming that are made up of:

To check the stability of AMD Ryzen 7 1700 to 3800 MHZ processor and motherboard we have stressed with Prime 95 Custom and air cooling. The graphics we have used is an Nvidia GTX1080, without further delay, let's see the results obtained in our tests with a 1920 × 1080 monitor.
BIOS
As expected, it maintains the same BIOS as all MSI Z270 series. It allows us to manage any important parameters of the motherboard, manage hard drives, monitor temperatures and overclock. You sure like it as much as we do.
Final words and conclusion about MSI X370 Krait Gaming
The MSI X370 Krait Gaming is one of the best motherboards for the AM4 socket. Its striking design, use of premium components, a stable BIOS and above all a devastating price , make it one of the options to consider.
With overclocking we have achieved the same performance as that of the MSI Xpower X370, reaching up to 4 GHz stable. But all our tests we have done at 3800 MHz, since it seems to us a fairly stable frequency and without the need to raise the processor voltage as much.
It is important to remind you that it has Audio Boost 4 technology that improves sound quality and the possibility of using high-end headphones. It also has Mystiq Light technology with 16.8 million custom colors and reinforcement in PCI Express connections to support high-end graphics cards.
Currently available in Spanish stores for a price of 159 euros, we believe that it is currently the best quality / price option for the X370 chipset. Do not hesitate!
