Mushkin has announced the launch of its new Mushkin Source SSD storage units, which are coming to offer users a very competitive performance solution, while maintaining a low manufacturing price.

These Mushkin Source arrive in capacities of 120GB, 250GB, 500GB and 1TB and in 2.5 ”and M.2 form factors, in this way they will adjust to the needs and possibilities of all users. Inside are the Silicon Motion SM2258XT controller, and capable of reaching a sequential read and write speed of 560MB / s and 520MB / s respectively, with 4K performance of 81, 000 IOPS and 75, 000 IOPS. All of them are equipped with MEDS (Mushkin Enhanced Data-protection Suite) technology, which guarantees their reliability when writing the most valuable user data.
Finally, they offer a three-year warranty, and a 1.5-million-hour s lifetime before failure. The 2.5-inch versions will hit stores in the coming days, while the M.2 will do so in April. Prices have not been announced.
