AMD's upcoming Navi GPUs have been discovered in the updated MacOS Mojave source code. A very interesting finding, since it reveals different GPU models for this architecture, that is; Navi 16, Navi 12, Navi 10 and Navi 9.

Navi 16, Navi 12, Navi 10, and Navi 9 appear in macOS Mojave source code

The file "AMDRadeon6000HWServiceskext" contains references to Navi 16, Navi 12, Navi 10 and Navi 9. These are probably the names of the product variants, not the code names of four different chips. In other words, the numbers should describe how many calculation units are enabled for each device.

The fact that these tickets already exist could indicate that Navi is much closer than we actually thought. The rumors about a possible launch during the month of July do not seem to be as far-fetched as it might seem.

There seems to be no question about references to AMD's new graphics architecture

Navi is considered a successor to the architecture of Polaris and Vega. AMD will focus on the mid-range market with its new energy-efficient 7nm Navi architecture. In fact, even Mark Papermaster confirmed that Radeon VII will be AMD's highest-level graphics card at the moment, which is using the Vega architecture.

According to the information that had emerged, the high-end Navi graphics cards would arrive some time after their mid-range and low-end namesakes, meanwhile, Radeon VII will be the maximum exponent in the segment of consumer graphics cards.
